China strongly condemned the terrorist attack in northwest Pakistan that killed five Chinese nationals and urged the Pakistani side to promptly bring to justice the perpetrators and accomplices of the attack, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said early Wednesday morning.

The ministry has asked the Pakistani side to take effective measures to ensure the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects and institutions in Pakistan, the spokesperson said, adding that China is working with Pakistan on the follow-up operation.
